Our livelihood depends on your satisfaction A huge amount of our work comes from customer recommendations, so your guarantee of excellent service and workmanship comes from our determination to protect our hard earned reputation.
We provide a full 12 month guarantee on all our work.
All materials and products are covered by full manufacturers' warrantees and our labour is backed by our own guarantee of workmanship that is second to none. We also undertake to take up customer complaints or queries with manufacturers whenever possible.
Worcester boiler installations include an unparalleled 5 year guarantee (10 years on the stainless steel heat exchanger).
Knowles employs fully trained Quality Control managers, who will call free of charge to inspect work and advise customers on the most appropriate course of action, where required.
Any defects arising from faulty installation or repair work, that may require rectification, and that occur within the guarantee period, are treated as a priority and will be dealt with at the customer's earliest possible convenience.
Problems which arise outside the company's standard guarantee period may also be rectified free of charge, or at a partial charge, at the company's discretion.
Knowles Plumbers Policy on Overcharging
Knowles has an unequivocal policy on overcharging - we won't tolerate it under any circumstances, and any operative disregarding our policy will be dismissed.
We rely on the recommendations of satisfied customers so it is vital that we charge correctly and fairly for our work. Customers come back to us repeatedly because of the relationship of trust between us.
If any of our customers feel we have not met the high standards we aspire to, then we would like them to make us aware. If you feel our operatives have not met any of the following criteria please contact us.
Knowles Plumbers will:
- Only charge for time spent at a job and the number of hours worked.
- Not charge the customer for any more than 45 minutes when collecting materials, unless agreed with customer.
- Not charge an excessive trade markup on materials.
- Not charge for two tradesmen on one-handed work unless necessary.
- Not charge for non-work related phone calls, or engage in them during working time.
- Not charge for tea and lunch breaks.
- Not charge for unnecessary time spent away from the job, and always keep customer informed when leaving the job.
- Not charge for any wasted or unnecessary time when undertaking your work.
- Present an invoice showing a clear and comprehensive description of work carried out and a full breakdown of labour and material charges upon request.
- Make sure that we work a full 8 hour day when on a day rate.
- Not carry out any unnecessary work.
- Not talk customers into any work that is not needed.
- Not overcharge customers under any circumstances.
